NexGen Textiles is a successful blend of environmental soundness, aesthetic appeal and proven performance. This fabric is beautiful, soft, and has plenty of performance benefits for all your apparel, home, hospitality and clinical needs. The fabric is antibacterial, combats odors and sweat, and dries very quickly. It is hypoallergenic for those with sensitive skin, and anti-wrinkle for those that hate to haul out the iron.


The manufacturing process for our textile is green as well.

Our fabric starts out on the farm here in the U.S. In essence, the raw materials for this ‘eco-fiber’ are made by fermenting sugar extracted from plants. The process makes use of the carbon stored in plants by photosynthesis in the form of dextrose sugar. The dextrose (sugar) that is taken from plants is used as fuel for the creation of the polymer of which the fiber is made. The resulting resin (PLA) is then turned into pellets that are converted into fabric and used for apparel and other textile products. The fabric is designed to combine the advantages of natural materials with the performance of synthetic fiber. The result is a versatile fabric for clothing, bedding and much more.

The production process produces 60% less greenhouse gases and 50% less non-renewable energy than other polymers- an amount which the manufacturer quotes is ‘equal to 19 barrels of oil or 775 gallons of gasoline.’ When a textile item reaches the end of its life, it can be disposed of with zero impact on the environment. There are several options, including composting and clean incineration.
