Studies show that the effect of blue LED light, the wavelength of light that comes from most of our electrical devices, on our hormone that regulates our circadian rhythm. The blue light inhibits the production of melatonin, which tells our body when it’s time to sleep.
A key factor in regulating sleep and our biological clock is exposure to light or darkness. So falling asleep with the TV on or even lights may not be the best thing a good night’s sleep either.
